Larry & Joe - Golpe de Garza

Here's an original composition that Larry worked up under the tutelage of the great folklorist, maestro llanero José Ali Moleiro.

Garza means heron, one of the characteristic birds of Monagas, Venezuela - Larry’s homeland. Larry was inspired by the herons who would each night flock to his favorite park, a natural lagoon, for a fish dinner.

Golpe is a musical form within the llanera tradition. What’s unusual here is the inclusion of the 5-string banjo. But y’all already knew that.
